Gateway was our first hard goat milk cheese. We chose the name because we felt it would be a “Gateway” cheese for those that were reluctant to try goat milk products. It is modeled after Butterkase, a German cow milk cheese. Gateway has a very mild flavor and a smooth soft texture with a slight buttery finish.
It is good table cheese, served sliced for crackers or sandwiches, grated for salads, or can be used as a substitute for mozzarella in caprese salads. Made exclusively from the milk of our own goat herd. No steroids, artificial hormones, or preservatives. We make Plain, Roasted Garlic, and Triple P (Jalapeno, Red Chili Flake, and Habanero).
